Buzzbrews-Dallas, TX

Buzzbrews Kitchen, a 24 hour restaurant, open 363 days a year has earned it's name on several best in Dallas breakfast reviews and for good reason! This refreshingly unique restaurants serves breakfast all day, every day, and always has some fresh java brewing around the clock. Although the original Buzzbrews location is off of 75/Central and Fitzhugh, they have three Dallas locations, with their newest location in Deep Ellum. We have only been fortunate enough to try their restaurant on Lemon, but hope to visit each in the very near future. This particular location on Lemmon is very hip, but still relaxed with a strong coffee house energy. This location offers patio seating and counter service, in addition to plenty of tables and booths that accommodate everyones seating preferences.
The Buzzbrews breakfast menu offers a wide variety of taste from the Tex-mex styled Amigas to the build your own crepes. During our visit we sampled the Hare Krishna prepared in a crepe, a variety of their pancakes, the Amigas, organic cinnamon toast, and a few different coffees from the coffee bar. Everything ordered came out perfect and tasted great! All the food tasted fresh and came out hot. The pancakes were above average, but the syrup and butter put them over the top! The Hare Krishna crepe was nutritionally sensible and delicious. This unique entree was prepared with egg whites, avocado, jack cheese, feta cheese, rolled in a fresh crepe, and topped with grilled tomatoes. The Amiga was Buzzbrews take on the Tex-Mex favorite Migas, however the wheat tortillas and the choice of chicken gave it a little twist! The cinnamon toast was tasty and the good food was complimented with good coffee. The coffee selection was great and the southern pecan was delicious, but because this is a coffee house first you must serve yourself.
Despite the self service coffee bar, service was good. The staff was very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and professional. The decor was themed much like the Buzzbrews website and promotes a creative mind! The restaurant was clean and well kept. Parking was limited, but what you expect in that area of Dallas. Prices and portion size were good, making Buzzbrews an overall great restaurant! Nominated by D Magazine and the Dallas Observer for best breakfast in Dallas 2011, Buzzbrews Kitchen will no doubt become a local favorite on our list for Best Breakfast 2012. Buzzbrews is good, give it a try!
